Hittite Microwave has introduced a digital attenuator designer's kit, HMC-DK004, that includes nine samples of Hittite's positive control digital attenuator MMICs.

Included are nine evaluation boards (assembled and tested), one for each digital attenuator part number, which enables the designer to test each enclosed sample.

The designer is encouraged to refer to the Application Circuit section of the product data sheet before applying power to the evaluation board. Data sheets for each of the enclosed samples are available with the kit's CD.

The company's range of GaAs MMIC digital attenuators is offered in MSOP8, MSOP10, QFN 3 x 3 mm (LP3), QFN 4 x 4 mm (LP4), QSOP16 and SOT26 packages and are targeted at mobile/3G, fixed wireless, CATV, MMDS, WiMAX, WiBro, microwave radio and test equipment applications from DC to 13 GHz.

The attenuators are suitable for RF gain control loops, level setting, calibration and cancellation applications.
