M2M Connectivity has announced the Wavecom Q52 omni, a combination of cellular, satellite and GPS technology on a single module.

Based on Wavecom wireless microprocessor technology, the Q52 integrates embedded control of GSM/GPRS, Orbcomm satellite and GPS on a single processor.

The device has been developed to enable remote monitoring and asset control worldwide.

The module will support many applications from users looking for data communications links beyond mobile coverage. Examples include water monitoring, as well as asset and vehicle tracking.
