Johanson Manufacturing JLC series high-Q variable coils

Thursday, 28 October, 2010 | Supplied by: Wireless Components

The JLC series of high-Q variable coils from Johanson Manufacturing offers a wide tuning range of 30-133 nH and self-resonant frequencies of 700-1500 MHz, which make them suitable tuning devices for many RF applications.

The coils also feature a non-magnetic core for use in MRI systems or other magnetically sensitive circuits.

Sample kits, which include three pieces each of six different variable coils and a tuning tool, are available to simplify component selection.

In addition to the MRI applications, these coils are used in RF amplifiers, RF test and measurement systems and defence electronics systems.

The variable inductors are suitable for applications where low-profile circuit boards are essential. Tuning is by a threaded PTFE and non-magnetic copper alloy core.
