MiMOMax radios can now be accessed via DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol version 3.0) for network monitoring purposes.
DNP3 is an open protocol used primarily to communicate between RTUs (remote terminal units), IEDs (intelligent electronic devices) and SCADA master stations (aka control centres). It is an interoperable communications protocol, used in electric, water, oil and gas, traffic management and similar industrial applications.
Various DNP3 points can be added/removed easily using CCMS (configuration control and monitoring system), depending on the user’s monitoring needs. CCMS is web-based software, built into all the company’s radios for local and remote radio configuration and programming. Using DNP3, the radio can also be configured to have unsolicited events enabled/disabled by default.
The implementation is fully compliant with DNP 3.0 Subset Definition Level 3 and contains significant functionality beyond Subset Level 3.
