Quad-band devices

Thursday, 01 June, 2006 | Supplied by: M2M Connectivity

M2M Connectivity has launched a family of quad band GSM/GPRS, class 10 radio devices including an Edge module.

Sony Ericsson's range provides developers and system integrators with developer kits to make integration fast and easy.

The GR64 is an upgrade for those applications already using the current generation of GSM/GPRS GR47 type devices. The GS64 is a new slim-line small form quad-band GPRS module for applications such as POS terminals, PDAs, laptops and other portable or battery-powered devices.

The EE54, a quad-band/Edge/GPRS radio device module is designed for applications where remote management and higher speed data communication is needed.

Edge-based networks are expected to formally launch late in 2006 in Australia so developers can start now.

All the modules are lead free.
