The SD-160 and SD-170 series of RF data radios are a key component in remote control, monitoring and two-way communication systems. The SD-160 features 2 W of transmit power and the SD-170 features 1-5 W of transmit power, LED status indicator and 16 channels for data or voice communication. High level audio quality makes them suitable for golf course and emergency call boxes.

Both series are suitable for voice or data communication, whether calling the clubhouse from the 9th tee or as a plant manager overseeing mechanical operations. These radios perform a variety of functions, like initiating a watering cycle on an irrigation system or providing real-time updates on programmed events such as the opening and closing of valves or doors. The radios are simple to install and operate and provide peace of mind for companies operating unmanned sites.

With the optional GMSK, FFSK or FSK modem board, the radios can transmit and receive up to 9600 baud rate for wireless security systems, video camera surveillance or weather stations. With the optional GPS modem, they become an automatic vehicle location system for tracking fleet movement and communicating data directly to a computer.
