RF EDA software

Agilent has available the Genesys 2007.08. The latest release of Genesys includes new statistical and electromagnetic analyses that provide accuracy for RF and microwave designs, resulting in shorter physical design cycles and faster time to market.

The software features an EDA environment that has realistic statistical component variations, histograms and yield optimisation. The statistical analysis features, together with the company's Momentum GX high-performance planar-3D EM simulator, enable highly accurate physical design.

Statistical features include:

  • Statistical distribution functions, applicable to any variable or component parameter;
  • Histogram plots, for use with circuit, RF system, and EM simulation types;
  • 17 statistics-oriented equations and measurements.

It also provides:

  • Momentum GX, a high-performance planar-3D EM simulator;
  • Voltage-based system models and measurements, so that Spectrasys, the system design tool for use with Genesys, can be applied to modern, RFIC-based system architectures;
  • New licensing options for keyless (ADS-style) licensing and accelerated evaluations.
