The SoftRadio series RoIP-based operator SW console across Asia-Pacific has been introduced.

It enables an operator to connect from a standard PC to multiple two-way radios via an IP-network and is structured and expandable, easy-to-use and robust.

It is specifically designed for two-way radio networks and operations. The application runs on a standard Windows PC and uses the computer’s processor and sound card to provide the RoIP channel and functions, allowing voice communication with the remote user.

Other benefits include: an operator can control up to eight radios from one console; the operator can monitor all his/her radios at the same time, even when transmitting; is easily expandable via add-on functions and applications; can extend and integrate with dispatch and command and control applications; supports radio virtual control heads (with the appropriate RIU).

It allows operators to add features and functionality and can also be installed on touch-screen and embedded PCs.

Available ‘add-ons’ include: CrossPatch allows operators to cross-connect two or more radios; GroupSend allows operators to send to up to eight remote radios simultaneously; PhoneConnect allows operators to PSTN and mobile phones; VoiceLog allows operations to record and recall radio communications; StatusLog and ObjectLog (option) allows operations to record and recall status calls and manage pre-set actions.
