HT Italia PQA824 power recorder

The HT Italia PQA824 power recorder measures, records and analyses power quality on electrical installations. It has been designed with Windows CE technology which allows easy and fast analysis of large quantities of data.

The unit has a graphical colour TFT touch screen and a user-friendly interface. On-screen help for each screen is available. A vectorial diagram feature allows evaluation of phase angles between voltages and currents in order to understand the inductive or capacitive nature of loads on an installation.

An internal memory of 15 Mb (expandable to 30 Mb with external CF card) allows parameters and recording data to be saved over extended periods of time.

The model has a USB interface to PC for downloading and analysis using dedicated Top View Windows software.

The PQA-824 also permits detection of fast voltage transients and has a minimum resolution of 5 µs (200 kHz) and adjustable trigger thresholds. The recorder has a rechargeable Li-Ion battery or can be used on the mains with the external 100/240 VAC adapter and it is supplied with 4 x 3000 A flex probes.

Its features include: true-RMS P-N, P-P, P-PE voltage measurements (5 inputs); true-RMS current on phases and neutral (4 inputs); active, reactive and apparent power measurements; active, reactive and apparent energy measurements; power factor; maximum of 251 parameters selected at the same time; integrated period selectable 1 s to 60 min; harmonic analysis of voltage and current up to 49th component; voltage anomalies with 10 ms resolution; numerical and graphical (waveforms) visualisation; histogram visualisation of harmonic analysis; vectorial diagram of voltages and currents; and inrush current measurements.
