Megger MOM2 handheld microhmmeter

Monday, 29 August, 2011 | Supplied by: Megger Limited

The MOM2 handheld microhmmeter can be used to measure the resistance of circuit breaker contacts, bus bars, connections and other links conducting high currents.

The instrument weighs approx 1 kg and, despite its small size and light weight, can deliver a maximum current of about 220 A short duration and up to 100 A for 3 s.

With the instrument, it is possible to make the test according to the DualGround method. This means that the test object remains grounded on both sides throughout the entire measurement procedure.

The rugged instrument is suitable for field work, such as in substations, and is supplied with a strong rubber holster accessory. It is dimensioned to make a full day’s work of testing without recharge. It can store 190 test values and transfer test data to a PC via Bluetooth.
