On-site RF measurements

The FSH Handheld Spectrum Analyser is an entire test lab that fits in one hand. It's a spectrum analyser, vector network analyser, high-precision power meter, test receiver and EMI/EMCE analyser. It also features a wide selection of accessories.

The R&S FSH-K4 software option provides code domain power analysis for 3G base stations, including EVM and scrambling code determination.

To perform code domain analysis, the R&S FSH3 has now been enhanced by an additional memory for I/Q data. The analyser can therefore record a signal section with a length of approx 1.2 ms, which is sufficient to detect the code channels required for code domain analysis and determine their powers as well as other characteristics.

The R&S FSH is available as a 3 or 6 GHz model either with or without an internal tracking generator. When the tracking generator is included, the FSH can be used for distance-to-fault measurements, scalar and vector network analysis, and one-port cable loss measurement.

Most models come standard with an adjustable preamplifier, making them suitable for measuring very small signals. Power sensors are available as accessories for high-precision terminating power measurements up to 8 or 18 GHz as well as for directional power measurements up to 4 GHz.
