A large alphanumeric LCD and a menu structure are key features of Tait's latest conventional mobile radio, the TM8250.
Part of the TM8000 series of analog mobile radios, the TM8250 has 1500 conventional channels and a high quality user interface, suitable for fast-moving mobile teams such as emergency services and transport fleets.
A menu structure allows easy navigation to all of the radio's functions, including channels, zones and display settings.
The large LCD allows users to clearly view channel information, including text and icons, and displays up to four lines of message text. Optional features include a keypad microphone that can be used to select channels and make calls and a remote control head.
This allows the radio control head to be mounted up to 6 m away from the radio body.
Key features of the radio include: rugged construction with robust specifications using surface mount technology; high-speed data at speeds of more than 9600 bits a second and feature an internal high-speed software-based modem. A digital signal processor provides fast and reliable data processing; system integration capabilities - the radios feature a large options board area and multiple ports for auxiliary connectors and a hardware developer's kit is available to help provide value-added solutions for users.
