The CompactLine microwave antenna range now includes a four-foot diameter model, specifically designed for branching link applications. The CompactLine SB4-W71A supports frequencies in the 7.1 to 8.5 GHz band and provides the advantages common to all antennas in the range: a compact form factor, low visual impact and light weight. It also offers a high level of side lobe suppression.
Network designers typically target side lobe interference levels of better than 35 dB below that of the main lobe. The SB4-W71 achieves such levels within 20° of the azimuth beam in the horizontal and 25° in the vertical.
This solid-body microwave antenna uses a mount manufactured from corrosion-resistant cast aluminium. This ensures the unit weighs just 39 kg and is simple to install. Designed for a survival wind speed of 200 km/h, a simple bracing strut option is available that improves this to 250 km/h.
