The BBM2E3KKO is suitable for mobile communications and mobile jamming applications that require low current draw from the prime power supply.

Operating from a single DC voltage, this VSWR tolerant small and lightweight module has high gain, low current consumption and fast mute on/off switching speed. The idle current (no RF signal) is only 1 A and when muted, the current is only around 100 mA. When providing 100 W of RF power, the efficiency is typically 40%.

Features include: high power in a small package; full 20-500 MHz band coverage; minimum linear P1dB power of 90 W at 28 VDC (100 W typical); gain at P1dB is 50 dB minimum so only 0 dBm drive signal required; mute on/off switching speed less than 1 µs; typical mute on current 100 mA; idle current less than 1A; operating current typically less than 9 A at 100 W RF output (40% efficiency); forward power indication; and can withstand infinite VSWR indefinitely without damage.

High level performance, long-term reliability and high efficiency are achieved by employing advanced matching networks and combining techniques, machined housings, EMI filters and qualified components.
