The Radiometrix NRX1 is a VHF equivalent of the company's UHF NRX2 radio data receiver, but allows engineers to gain extra reach with their system designs.
Its usable range exceeds 10 km when a matching transmitter is employed. The modules come in standard frequencies of 151.3000, 169.4125, 173.2250 and 173.2500 MHz, though other custom frequencies ranging from 120 to 180 MHz are available.
They can be used for licence-exempt operation in Britain (set at 173 MHz) and Europe (at 169 MHz) and can also be offered in versions that cover the Australia/New Zealand licence-free frequency of 151.300 MHz.
The product can support data rates of up to 10 Kbps and is suitable for one-to-one and multi-node wireless links where longer ranges are required at low to moderate data rates.
The unit is compatible with both the TX1 series of transmitters and the BiM1 transceiver.
