Innovative Telecommunications Systems has designed a 4.5 m portable mast. The mast is manufactured from aluminium extrusions that fit snugly into each other.
The three sections, each 1.5 m in length, are powder-coated dark grey and the mast is designed to hold aloft VHF collinear antennas and UHF dipoles.
The complete kit comes with a base plate which prevents the base from sinking into muddy surfaces, four pegs, guy ropes with tension adjusters and a rugged carry bag.
The mast can be erected by one person and is suitable for communication coverage or link testing. This mast is also suitable for civil defence purposes, military communications and even the communications enthusiast.
Custom fittings are optional and include a PVC tube, which fits on the top section and extends the mast by 1 m making it a good mast for inverted V antennas.
An optional extra is the 1.5 m mast extension which fits onto the lower section making it a 6 m mast.
