Low longitudinal attenuation and coupling loss, resulting in low overall system loss, characterise the RAYU158-50JAT coaxial cable from Radio Frequency Systems.

This is the latest addition to the Radiaflex A range of foam-dielectric radiating cable. Suitable for use in tunnels and metros, the band-selective 1-5/8" diameter RAYU158-50JAT cable is optimised for operation in the 800 to 1000 MHz and 1700 to 2200 MHz bands.

These bands cover the majority of current commercial in-building/in-tunnel radio services. The cable's stopband has been shifted into the 1000 to 1650 MHz range. Stopbands are inherent physical properties of radiating cable and by careful modelling and simulation they have been tuned to put them out of the way.

The cable can support multiple communication systems simultaneously. It is also available with a flame- and fire-retardant jacket (RAYU158-50JFNAT), or a flame-/fire-retardant and low smoke jacket (RAYU158-50JFLAT).
