C&D Technologies has introduced two ranges of low profile, drum core, shielded surface-mount inductors.
The 2900 and 2900L series are suitable for use in low-power, line-filtering applications in consumer, industrial and telecom applications.
The compact dimensions of the new parts make them useful in designs where PCB real-estate and height are limited. The 2900 series measures 7.2 x 7.2 x 4.0 mm high.
The 2900L series has the same footprint but offers a reduced overall height of 3.15 mm. An integral shield is a feature of all parts making them appropriate for designs where EMI sensitivity is a concern. Operating temperature range is -40 to +85°C.
Both versions are available with inductance values ranging from 1.0 µH to 1.0 mH. All parts are RoHS and J-STD-020-C reflow compliant and use UL 94 V-0 rated materials in their construction.
