Tait Electronics has launched the slimline TB7100 base station repeater created for users who want high-speed data in a lightweight package.

It is 1U high in a 19" rack, is wall mountable and, using an optional internal duplexer, requires only a single antenna.

It has continuous duty operation at 25 W.

The unit supports high-speed data transmission with over the air data rates of up to 19.2 Kbps. Combined with the Tait TM8000 mobile radios when attached to fixed equipment, it can be used for remote monitoring and control of fixed equipment or for vehicle tracking and job dispatch for mobile teams.

Combined with TaitNet TN1100 trunking equipment at a single site, the unit can be used as part of a multi-channel trunked network, providing private and group calls and telephone interconnect for hotels, shopping centres or events.
