Comms Connect webinars in August and beyond

Even though many parts of the nation are in semi-lockdown, and some parts are in almost complete lockdown, industry professionals are still gathering via online formats to discuss important matters and exchange information.

Following the unavoidable cancellations of its physical events this year, the Comms Connect team has done a wonderful job of pivoting to online webinars and courses, all of which have so far proven very popular.

Coming up in August are two virtual events that shouldn’t be missed by anyone wishing to stay on top of the latest developments in communications.

First up is the Microwave Radio Masterclass, comprising a series of two-hour sessions over five days beginning on 13 August. This training workshop, presented by Trevor Manning, uses real-world examples to dispel myths about microwave communications and provides both practical tutorials and in-depth theoretical insights into modern equipment.

The Microwave Radio Masterclass is now on its second run, with the first event in June having rapidly sold out. Indeed, places are very limited for August’s workshop, so make sure you book now to avoiding missing out.

The second August event is a webinar on Unifying mission-critical communications: Standards/AI/ML. The 45-minute presentation will begin at 11 am AEST on 19 August.

Following an introduction by the ACCF’s Kevin Graham, Tait Communication’s Sohan Domingo will provide an in-depth look at voice and data interoperability, and show how multi-bearer switching between networks using software-based edge computing AI/ML algorithms can provide enhanced communication services in mission-critical and non-mission-critical environments, especially in areas where there is no LMR or LTE coverage.

Domingo also address some of the latest implementations of applications in cloud that can be provided as SaaS to industries such as public safety, utilities and transportation, and the optimum approach to implementing cloud vs edge computing.

In addition to these two events, please take a look at these other Comms Connect online workshops and webinars coming over the next few months:
