Time to book for ARCIA/Comms Connect Adelaide
The combined ARCIA/Comms Connect conference, industry dinner and networking event in Adelaide is rapidly approaching, so now’s the time to book your place.
To be held on 22 September, the event will bring together industry members from South Australia and further afield to share information, discuss current topics and hear from invited guest speakers.
Considering that it’s a one-day event, the organisers have put together an excellent spread of speakers and topics:
- Hamish Duff (ARCIA), who will give an overview of Australia’s LRM sector
- Ashley Marshall (ATG Communications), who will speaking about doing more with less to cover the last mile
- Stuart Zerbe (Harris), who will cover the convergence of IT and operational communications
- Doug Bowden (Sepura), who will profile the integration of LTE and TETRA on the Bilbao Metro
- Dr Suresh Hungenahally (CommTel Network Solutions), who will speak about protecting critical infrastructure
- Andrew May (Spectrum Engineering Australia), who will discuss spectrum availability for private LTE networks
- Ian Miller (ARCIA), who will speak about intrinsically safe equipment.
Plus, there are several more speakers to be confirmed.
The conference will close with an open panel session on public safety communications.
The ARCIA Industry Dinner and Networking Event will be held from 6–11 pm at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide. The guest speaker for the evening will be former Australian Rules footballer and Crows star Rod Jameson.
Member and non-member tickets can be purchased via the event page, with the option of booking a full table of 10 at a discounted rate.
In addition, nominations are open for the Industry Professional of the Year Award, which will be presented on the night. Nominations should be emailed to info@arcia.org.au by 7 September. More information about the award categories can be found on the event page.
