New director appointed
Rob Gill, a former Nokia executive, has been appointed as a non-executive director of Christchurch-based radio communications solutions company, Tait Electronics Limited (TEL).
Gill had more than 20 years’ experience working for international companies before he established Auckland-based consulting company Tresco 5 years ago. After spending his early career years in the merchant navy, he re-trained as a systems analyst and worked with IBM and Compaq.
Gillthen gained 9 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry working for Nokia in a variety of positions including the first managing director for Nokia NZ and the director of sales and marketing for Nokia Europe’s fixed networks. He was also managing director for Nokia Australia and GM Nokia Telecommunications Pacific Region based in Sydney.
