Automated testing software
22 June, 2009 | Supplied by: Megger Limited
The PowerDB acceptance and maintenance test data management software packages are compatible with a range of Megger and other brands of power test instruments, and can be used to generate reports for tests of many different types. The software is available in three versions: full PowerDB, PowerDB Lite and PowerDB On Board. Full PowerDB runs under Microsoft Windows on a PC and provides facilities for automating tests, generating reports using over 200 built-in industry standard report forms and producing fully customised reports. It also stores detailed information about each location and job in a fully searchable database. Data stored can be analysed to reveal trends for effective condition monitoring and preventive maintenance. PowerDB Lite is supplied free with many Megger instruments and runs under Windows on a PC, offering the major features of full PowerDB, except customised forms and the ability to trend historical data from external sources. PowerDB OnBoard is built into the instrument, requiring no external PC. It has the same facilities as PowerDB Lite and provides users with the convenience of setting up and performing tests on site via an on-screen test form view.
