Soft isolation mounts
30 August, 2004 | Supplied by: http://www.gelmec.com/
When trying to protect onboard computers in trucks and buses from road and engine vibrations, a soft isolation mount is often required. Gel-Mec has a range of ultrasoft gel sandwich or stud mounts which are much softer than traditional rubber isolators. These mounts are made of a very soft, highly damped silicone gel bonded to metal.
Overprinting RF-EAS labels
27 July, 2004 | Supplied by: http://www.checkpointmeto.co.nz/
The Checkpoint Meto machine, capable of overprinting RF-EAS labels at high speed with no risk of deactivation, addresses the growing need for suppliers and exporters to use 'at source' tagging with internationally high criteria for quality and reliability.
One-box RF tester
25 May, 2004 | Supplied by: http://www.agilent.com/
Agilent Technologies has released a one-box platform that enables efficient RF testing for products and components that incorporate Bluetooth and other emerging wireless connectivity technologies.
Two-chip Bluetooth system
25 May, 2004 | Supplied by: http://www.edsales.com.au/
Xemics' two-chip Bluetooth solution, using the recent Skyworks' 1.2 compatible radio, sees overall PCB surface required shrink to less than 49 mm2. This means that the two-chip solution is even smaller than the 'single chip solutions' available.
GPS crystal oscillators
28 April, 2004 | Supplied by: http://cmac.com/
JPG C-MAC MicroTechnology has developed a range of GPS TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillators) with features that provide GPS receivers with superior performance when used in combination with the recently launched Chinese Beidou navigation satellites. The TCXO plays a role in the time measurements made within the GPS receiver as it defines a very precise position.
Making the piezo effect as clear as crystal
11 April, 2004 | Supplied by: Hy-Q International (Australia)
The piezoelectic effect is defined that pressure applied on quartz crystal generates voltage and voltage applied across crystal quartz produces mechanical vibration
